Portra und Puffins

Ich bin jetzt Schottland-Fan. Gefühlt ging es halb Deutschland so während der EM-Gruppenphase. Alle waren so verzaubert von den Fans mit Dudelsack. Ich war zu dieser Zeit im Urlaub dort und nicht nur die Leute, auch die Landschaft war wunderbar.

Sommerurlaub in Schottland ist super – wenn man sowohl T-Shirts und Sonnenbrillen als auch Regencapes und Wintermützen dabei hat. Die Zeit vergeht wie im Flug, da man so viel Schönes zu sehen bekommt und sich alle 30 Minuten irgendwas an- oder ausziehen muss.

Das ist fotografisch herausfordernd, aber auch sehr spannend. Gerade noch hängt eine dicke Wolke über dir, da pustet sie der Wind weg und die Sonne glitzert auf dem Wasser, wo gerade eine Gruppe Puffins auf Fischsuche ist.

Ich habe in diesem Urlaub fast ausschließlich mit Iso 400 fotografiert, für mich ist dieser Film wie Wintermütze und Sonnenbrille zugleich tragen, das passt einfach bei jedem Wetter.

I’m a Scotland fan now. Maybe half of Germany felt like this during the European Championship group stage because everyone was so enchanted by the fans with bagpipes. I was there on vacation at that time and not only the people, but also the landscape was wonderful.

Summer vacation in Scotland is great – if you have packed T-shirts and sunglasses as well as rain capes and winter hats. Time flies because you see so many beautiful things and have to put something on or take something off every 30 minutes.

This is photographically challenging, but also very exciting. One moment, there is a dark cloud hanging over you when the wind blows it away and the sun glitters glaring on the water where a group of puffins are looking for fish.

During this vacation I photographed almost exclusively with Iso 400. For me this type of film is like wearing winter hat and sunglasses at the same time, it simply works in any weather.
